When Marzocchi Athlete Thomas Genon looked at the formerly resource-rich hills around Liège in his home country of Belgium, he didn’t just see a landscape he could sculpt into freeride lines. This is where his great grandfather labored underground extracting coal from the earth. Working with a dedicated team of mountain bike diggers and in collaboration with the Unesco World Heritage Blegny-Mine, in his latest Red Bull film project Mine Line, Thomas honors his coal mining ancestry in the way he does best, getting creative on his bike.
In this video, we dive behind the scenes of all the earth-moving, jump-shaping, riding and filming that made the Mine Line project possible.
